What is a savvy diver?

A savvy diver is an individual who goes beyond the basic teachings and continues to grow and learn. Honing their skills, knowledge and understanding of all aspects of diving. This includes their skills, understanding of diver philosophy and how it effects them as well as their gear, for example.

I have been diving for over 15 years and have completed several hundred dives. As a dive professional, I should know the answers to most questions. However, I often found myself asking some basic questions, as well as some more complex ones that were important to me. Many times, I would ask my diving buddies, only to discover that they didn’t have the answers either. That’s when good old research and some effective Google-fu came into play. After years of exploring these off-the-wall questions, I decided it was time to share my findings. This is my blog.
